I hope you are all enjoying your Monday off - hopefully the weather stays fine.
No swimming this week.
Uniforms - All children are expected to be in full summer uniform from Tuesday. This includes your blue school hat. From this week no hat = no play. Girls - please remember if your hair is shoulder length or longer it needs to be tied up. Girls - please remember you are not allowed to wear nail polish at school.
Library - Wednesday. Remember to bring your book back so you can get a new one.
Rosary - Thursday 8:45am. The junior children are leading the rosary this week. All friends and family are welcome to come along. The rosary is in the school hall.
Spelling Tests - This week we will be doing our spelling tests for Essential Lists 1-3. There are some children who will also be given List 4.
Discover China Day - Friday. The whole school will be participating in activities during the day at different times. There are some Mandarin Language speakers coming to our school to assist with this. If you are able to help on Friday morning, please let Mrs Cato know via email on annec@stmarysrotorua.school.nz or contact her at school.
Golden Time Photos - We were lucky enough to have our Golden Time in the pool on Friday. Room 6 came to join us which was just awesome! Their teacher even got in the pool - she's much braver than me! There may have been some grumpy children after school on Friday with lots of lunch left over. Some of us take a very very very long time to get changed which doesn't leave much time for eating - especially when assembly starts very soon after we finish swimming. Here are some of the photos...
Coming up in Week 4
All Saints/Souls Liturgy - Monday 2nd November, 10am in the church
Grandparents Mass - Friday 6th November, 9:15 in the church. After Mass grandparents (& families) are welcome to come and take a look through their grandchildren's class/es. This will be followed by a morning tea picnic on the school fields and some concert items.
End of Year Testing - will begin this week. As testing is individual, this will cause disruptions to our normal programmes.
Swimming - it's our turn again this week.
